Court Fees - The Tax on Justice
The fees payable to the UK government to begin or proceed with a money claim in the High Court or County Court are listed below:

£300 £35
£301 TO £500 £50
£501 TO £1,000 £70
£1,001 to £1,500 £80
£1,501 to £3,000 £115
£3,001 to £5,000 £205
£5,001 to £10,000 £455
£10,001 to £200,000 5% of the value of the claim
Greater than £200,000 £10, 000
Other fees may also apply for stages of the case.
These fees will need to be paid to the government - in addition to our charges - just to start and proceed with a case.
